SERIFOS

Not your ordinary Cycladic island

A well-kept secret from travelers around the world, Serifos is the ideal destination for people seeking abundant natural beauty, unpretentiousness and laid back atmosphere. Just two and a half hours away from Piraeus, it is yet as far as it gets from hectic city life.

Once you set foot on Serifos you instantly feel its magic energy; is it the magnetic fields emitted from the island’s massive iron reserves? Is it the dramatic landscape that rises before your eyes? Whatever it is, there is one thing for sure; Serifos will blow you away!

Wild and untamed, the island features an amazing geography, marked by steep mountains and exceptional beaches. The main settlement, clinging to the top of Mount Troulos is one of the most beautiful in the Aegean. The whitewashed houses glow as the summer sun casts its rays down. A few hundred steps connect it to the port where most of the action takes place; restaurants, cafés and shops line up by the water to create a pleasant and lively atmosphere. The port is also the starting point for some of the prettiest beaches in the Mediterranean. Just pick the quality of the sand you fancy and go; thick, thin, powder, green, golden, grayish and glittery sand make up the wonderful beach menu of Serifos. Nudist, non-nudist, crowded, remote, nearby, far off… the beaches are there, and they are fantastic!

Summers in Serifos are hot, with the northern winds called “meltemia” cooling the island down. May, June and September are warm, sweet and calm, with average temperatures around 25° C.
